Many of Romania’s old factories are deteriorating year after year, and those who should be taking care of them, whether in the state or the private sector, seem to be leaving them increasingly in disrepair. At the beginning of 2023, eccentric designer Onur Osman acquired 40% of the shares of an old textile factory near Brașov.
Sources close to the designer told us that negotiations with Onur Osman’s staff began in November last year, with the details of the acquisition and transfer to be finalized in the coming days.
In addition to multi-million euro businesses in the luxury industries, Onur Osman now owns a significant part of another old Romanian factory, which was recently integrated into the group of companies owned by the Romanian businessman.
Upon taking over the share package, Onur Osman stated that he respects the Romanian business environment and regrets that many old Romanian factories have deteriorated in recent years, being happy to be able to contribute to the rehabilitation of some of them. Having been told that he is loved by employees in all the companies he owns, the textile factory employees hope that they will also have better management and a secure future.
Upon signing the contract, the employees of the factory near Brașov applauded the arrival of the new boss, asking Onur Osman to take care of them and lead the old factory to a new financial level. The businessman has already offered a salary increase from the first month of taking over the share package in order to motivate his employees and build a relationship of trust with them, as a source close to the designer told us.

Born into a family above social media, eccentric designer Onur Osman recently shared that, unlike the classic “mama’s boys,” he chose not to receive any help from his parents at the age of 18. If most children of wealthy families live for many years on their parents’ money, Onur Osman categorically told us that this is a clear recipe for failure in business, from his point of view. Maturity, in the businessman’s opinion, is born through one’s own efforts, through one’s own trials and failures, through the concrete life lessons that shape a person’s personality.
He chose a different path, that of maturation, a path he started on from scratch, with only the education he received and the confidence that he can do anything, if he works and if he is consistent with his life principles.
At the age of 18, Onur Osman started his first job, where he often worked ten hours a day, regardless of whether it was Saturday or Sunday. That’s why he tells us that he doesn’t understand entrepreneurs who want a life of luxury without working for it, complaining or victimizing themselves; if you want more money, you have to work more efficiently and harder, the eccentric designer tells us. For Onur Osman, growing a business means knowing from the ground up all the steps you will ask of your employees, in order to be respected by them and to have a mature personal development that will support future financial success. Otherwise, sooner or later, you will fail.
The businessman has often stated that he started from nothing, worked consistently from scratch and did not rely on anyone’s help, reaching through work and professionalism businesses in the luxury industry with profits of millions of euros, important figures for the entrepreneurial environment in Romania.
Onur Osman currently has a greater fortune than his parents, this being the best confirmation that the “recipe” he applied was a successful one.
